Diverse group of hikers traversing mountain ridge trail

Expeditions that challenge assumptions

How we approach wilderness education

Every expedition operates on a simple principle: the land teaches better than any guide can lecture. Our role isn't to narrate your experience but to position you where learning happens naturally. Where struggle reveals capability. Where silence clarifies thinking.

Group sizes never exceed eight participants. This isn't arbitrary. It's the threshold where individual attention remains possible, where group dynamics stay manageable, and where the wilderness still feels vast rather than crowded.

Mountain climbers ascending steep alpine terrain

Alpine Immersion

Duration: 4 days, 3 nights | Investment: $847.50 CAD

This expedition tests your relationship with discomfort. You'll spend four days above 2,400 meters where weather changes without warning and every decision matters. No established campsites. No trail markers after the first day. Just topographic maps, your group, and landscapes that demand respect.

Physical requirement: Ability to hike 12-15 km daily while carrying a 15kg pack over uneven terrain.

Included: All group camping equipment, emergency communication device, topographic maps, guide expertise.

You provide: Personal clothing layers, sleeping bag rated to -5°C, personal items.

Ancient forest with moss-covered trees and filtered sunlight

Forest Pedagogy

Duration: 2 days, 1 night | Investment: $485.25 CAD

Learn to read forests as ecosystems rather than scenery. Track animal movement patterns. Identify plant relationships. Understand how fire, wind, and water shape what you're walking through. This expedition moves slowly by design. Observation matters more than distance covered.

Physical requirement: Moderate fitness. Daily hiking distances under 8 km with frequent stops for observation and instruction.

Included: Field guides, magnification tools, species identification resources, all meals, camping equipment.

Well-organized backcountry campsite beside clear mountain lake

Backcountry Foundations

Duration: 3 days, 2 nights | Investment: $612.75 CAD

Everything you need to camp competently in remote areas. Proper tent setup in various conditions. Food storage that actually protects against wildlife. Navigation without relying on GPS. Leave-no-trace principles that make sense rather than feel like arbitrary rules. This is skills-focused rather than distance-focused.

Physical requirement: Basic fitness. Hiking distances of 5-8 km daily with extended instruction periods.

Included: All instruction materials, practice equipment, meals, group gear.

Solitary figure silhouetted against mountain vista at golden hour

Silent Trek

Duration: 5 days, 4 nights | Investment: $1,093.00 CAD

Five days of walking without the usual social performance. Essential communication happens through gestures and written notes. Most participants report this as the most psychologically demanding expedition we offer, not because of physical difficulty but because removing speech removes the primary way most people avoid being present.

Physical requirement: Strong fitness. Daily distances of 10-14 km with significant elevation changes.

Included: All meals, camping equipment, waterproof notebooks for essential communication, emergency protocols for necessary speech.

Note: Safety communications and emergency situations override silence protocols.

Winter mountain landscape covered in pristine snow

Winter Stillness

Duration: 3 days, 2 nights | Investment: $728.50 CAD

Winter camping isn't summer camping with colder temperatures. It requires different skills, different gear, and a different mindset. You'll learn snow shelter construction, winter-specific navigation challenges, cold weather safety, and how to stay comfortable when thermometers drop below -15°C.

Physical requirement: Good fitness and cold tolerance. Snowshoeing 6-10 km daily through untracked snow.

Included: Snowshoes, winter camping equipment, insulated sleeping pads, group shelter materials, all meals designed for cold-weather caloric needs.

You provide: Winter sleeping bag (-20°C rating), appropriate winter clothing layers.

Mountain river cascading through pristine wilderness

Watershed Journey

Duration: 4 days, 3 nights | Investment: $894.25 CAD

Follow a single waterway from alpine snowmelt to mature river. Watch how water shapes stone, creates habitat, and dictates where life concentrates. Camp at three different elevations along the same watershed. Learn to read landscapes through the lens of hydrology.

Physical requirement: Good fitness. Daily hiking 9-13 km with moderate elevation loss as the route descends with the water.

Included: All camping equipment, water quality testing tools, topographic maps showing watershed boundaries, meals.
